On December 11, 2025, an international conference was held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Nicosia (Republic of Cyprus), devoted to the standards and criteria of judicial independence, as well as to the mechanisms for ensuring and protecting this independence.
The conference brought together representatives of the academic community, practicing lawyers, and judges from the highest courts of various countries. Among the participants were the President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, a judge of the Constitutional Court of Serbia, and the President of the Cyprus Bar Association.
