EDUCATION AND CAREER
Mr. Belyakov graduated from the Law School of Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation with a degree in Law (Diploma with Honors). He received a graduate degree from the same school in 2007.Mr. Belyakov has received an “Unified Training Program for Arbitration Managers” certificate from the International Bank Institute in 2012.
Mr. Belyakov has over 15 years of legal experience with one of the largest Russian defense contractors and with leading consulting firms, providing services to a wide range of international clients from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the USA, Japan, China, Korea, and South Africa.
Mr. Belyakov specializes in providing complex legal advice to companies in Russia, on legal disputes on settlement issues with government authorities, and with private sector employment, insurance, and IP disputes. Mr. Belyakov has successfully advised on more than 450 court cases during his career, including representing interests of diplomatic missions in Russia and legal cases that changed the judicial practice in the field of corporate and customs law. Mr. Belyakov is also experienced with the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, having challenged the regulatory legal acts of Russian Federal Customs Services at the second appeal stage and has also advised in cases on high profile Intellectual Property matters on the behalf of the plaintiff and their heirs.
Mr. Belyakov is admitted to practice law in Russia.
